Week 15: Facebook Analytics
It is absolutely incredible how we can all hold such vital, and thorough information in the palm of our hands. As I look through each picture I am amazed at the data that Facebook collects for you as you own a business page. I would like to start off by pointing out that paying Facebook to reach out for more views is better than what I had thought to believe. As I read about this benefit in the past, I truly thought it was scam and would only reach out to 500 people or less. It is unbelievable how many people have reached your page from the week of December 1 - 7. Going above 45% is very impressive and has definitely opened my eyes to this helping hand Facebook has provided to all people.
On the very last page a different subject that caught my attention was Facebook's ability to develop a chart for you to view your page following from different areas, different genders, and the variety of age range. The thing I really enjoyed looking at that variety was of people from around the globe that were able to have the opportunity to see a brewery page that is miles and miles away! I am quite sure if the views came from the paid boost that Facebook might have given your business. If so, this is a great tactic to use due to the conveniency of our city and the amount of tourist that appear in San Diego. If people decide to come travel to North County San Diego, they have a wonderful spot that has caught their attention to visit and relax, and enjoy some beer.
Along with that, the percentages of male and female page viewers was a bit shocking to me. I am a female myself and I believe that women use social media more than men do. But looking at the analytics, we can see that more than half of the percentage of your business page views were from men. I am assuming that brewery is probably more enticing to men, but that is still very shocking. As I dig through the information more I found that almost half of the amount of men that have visited your page range from the age of 25 - 44 which is great! I think to withhold a strong business especially in this field the age range you are hitting is perfect!
