Week 5A: Chili's vs Teri's Cafe

I decided to write about these two because I love eating at both of these locations (I still love Teri's more though)lol. These two restaurants have very obvious differences. One is that Chili's is a franchise, while Teri's Cafe is a family owned restaurant. Although they are both very different restaurants, as I scroll through both of their web pages, I can see great similarities.
One being the simplicity of their website. These two locations present their selves with a very easy to use formats and it feel very comfortable looking through both. They both advertise the delicious food on the front page and it catches my attention instantly. I also found they each had a nice backround story that was provided to allow customers know what they are about. They each had their menus, locations, specials, story etc. on the top of their website as well with a search engine in case I needed to find something quickly. Very convenient!
The main differences that I came across was the fact that Chili's ensures curbside pick-up. Now this was on the front page of their website and it was easy to read through and understand the process. Another thing was that Teri cafe's website was one long stranded. There were no seperate pages where the main menu was. You would stumble upon it if you decided to keep scrolling down. Although the top right of the website did provide links to take you down to each specific section, I did not like this feature. One difference that I did love was the front page of Teri's. The timelapse of customers coming in and out eating big lovely dishes was very cool. Chilis had a weird looking steak with cheese and broccoli on the front that was not very appealing.
The company markets to different people, one delivers mostly American Classics, while the other delivers Thai food. Yes, they are both audiences that eat. The difference in culture caters to different people (:
