Week 2A: Social Media Opinion
One social media platform that is geared towards personal use Snapchat. In my opinion most people use this app multiple times on a daily basis. There snaps are consisted of what they are currently doing at the moment showing display options like time and place. Since Snapchats are automatically erased every 24 hours I can clearly distinguish its difference from a more business like platform.
I believe that Instagram is a great app for businesses. With Instagrams simplicity, it makes it easy and eye pleasing to scroll around to find people, items, and businesses. Instagram has created options to view ones pictures, videos, profiles etc. Like Facebook, it is a great app to get to know people. The positive difference I see with Instagram is that the layout is less complicated. Profiles are the importance of this app and with one touch you are allowed to see a layout of perfect small squares all containing personal, or business pictures and videos. This allows people to find what they need in a matter of seconds.
I believe that Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Tumblr, Blogger all work well for both creating personal profiles, as well as creating a business pages. They all work in a slightly different ways but I think it is great to connect with consumers in different ways. One thing I will point out is that Facebook and Instagram do have an advantage over other websites. Most people are connected through these two. And I believe that in order to create a successful blog or business you should advertise yourself through these main apps.

Thank you for writing about Snapchat and mentioning it's qualities. Because you say most people use it multiple times daily, I wonder if you are using it and how you like it? It's interesting that it is erased every 24 hours. Because of that, everything must be new and I think that's great. Perhaps it's a good exercise in not dwelling on the past! I'm also glad to know that Instagram has small squares containing different things allowing people to search more efficiently. From what I hear or read, I think you're right, that Facebook and Instagram are two of the popular "go-to" apps.
ReplyDeleteI agree that Snapchat is a personal social media app that allow users to send and receive photos and videos. I think there are quite a few ways to advertise on Snapchat. The Snap ads one method that is used for marketing campaigns.

I have to agree with everyone above, Snap Chat definitely is geared more towards personal use, than anything else. I appreciate the insight on your perspective of Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, and Blogger. I would add in LinkedIn personally to that mix, that one is basically all about the professional business environnment online.
