Week 16: Final Blog

Has your viewpoint of social media changed?
Do you have a better understanding of how to use it successfully to develop a business?
Did you find social media for businesses, services and products you want to use yourself?

During this semester, I was not expecting to discover the tools that I did, this class has been very great and such a helping hand. I currently do not have business, but I do have many ideas for the future and most importantly, so many cool ideas that will allow me to promote my business effectively. It is dramatically different how I view other business and there pages. You can really notice those who do not have experience in marketing through social media. I believe that learning this is crucial to owning a business, this is because of the intensity and frequency of technology now, and in the future.
Some ways that my viewpoint for social media has changed is by understanding the back round work and money that some people put into the their business for reach high levels of promotion. It gives me an understanding of how small and big businesses may do it. I also realize that almost every ad and pop up on the Internet and social media is being branded and paid for just like I leaned myself and sometimes may be stress full. The creativity and artwork that some provide on a monthly, daily, hourly basis had put everything into a whole different perspective for me and it is really impressive.
The services that this online class has provided for me is only the beginning for me. I feel as it has opened the door to many different websites and possibilities for personal and business use. One of my favorite web pages that we used was actually Blogger! I really enjoyed this platform and its organization. I reminded me of a more mature version of Tumblr which was a blogging website I used in the past. With blogger I feel like I can share my ideas and have a beautifully decorated platform that can be fun for me and my viewers.
Another website that I found very fun and useful was twitter. I have never used twitter in my life, I always believed it was difficult to navigate around it. This semester I learned it was quite the opposite and had a lot of fun surfing around and discovering empowerment, to comedy, to political, holiday tweets. I like Twitter much more now than in the beginning of the semester. I feel like it does a fantastic way of promoting ones business. It is fairly simple and fast.
In conclusion, I feel like this semester has allowed me to develop a better understand of the behind the scenes of being a successful and up-to-date business owner. Throughout the semester I found myself sharing these ideas and lessons with some of my family members who own small businesses as well as thinking about starting some. This class was fun and I would take it again!

Thank you for everything!
