Week 11A: Email Marketing

Beginning a news letter for Yummy In My Tummy Cafe would be a very smart move. Some great ideas that I came up with for my newsletters are adding our weekly pastry specials. With a nice picture of what is to come in the following week would defenitely catch the consumers attention and allow them to think about stopping by during the week before they are sold out. Along with the weekly deals, I think it would be great to add BOGO deals.
I also like idea of using this platform to share that mobile ordering is also a good way to run in and out of the store for those who have busy scheduling. Maybe adding a button where you can start the process of mobile orders.
I really like the idea of being personal with a customer and making them feel special. I believe that adding a free birthday pastry/coffee notice in the newsletter can make my customers feel a connection and maybe be a gateway of having them become a regular.
Since I am a local cafe, I also believe in community connection. Adding maybe fun events that are in oceanside for individuals and families to attend would be a great touch. Mainly events that I am a sponser to, would be a nice touch and it will also allow more people to discover my company.

  1. I like your ideas. Also, give your customers a reason to not only read your newsletter, maybe offer an incentive. For example, if customers sign up for your e-newsletter, they will receive 5% off their next visit or a free meal on their birthday.

  2. Great ideas. If I were working or living near your cafe, I would like to read about pastry specials. Perhaps once in awhile your newsletter would be able to share a recipe.
